Raised Arch Designs For Car Seats -Part Three

Raised Arch Designs For Car Seats -Part Three

The purpose of this basic video is make the interested user understand or have an idea how to approach an ‘arch design with raised bolsters’.
Usually this design comes with ‘cuts/junctions in the corners which ‘help’ to give the ‘raised appearance’. As you can see, at first sight the ‘corner junction sewing’ seems straight, but after unsewing it, we realize there are ‘two notorius curves’ in its ends. A ‘convex curve’ to the outside and a ‘convex curve’ to the inside.
When I was a young man it always called my attention how those ‘mustang bucket seats from the sixties’ were done. I remember that still in the seventies everybody wanted to have such a kind of seat in his car.
Hopefully, I would find and old mustang seat to reupholster it and show the procedures from the begining to the end.
I hope you find this video useful and as a way of inspiration to develop your own car upholstery projects!
